Role Overview:
They are seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join their senior leadership team. This is a hands-on, strategic role overseeing complex projects, mentoring engineers, and contributing to the growth and direction of the practice. Flexible working arrangements are available to support work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage structural design for complex commercial and residential building projects.
Review and approve detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, MEP engineers, and contractors.
Mentor and develop senior and junior engineers, fostering a high-performing team.
Play a key role in business development, client management, and strategic planning.
Ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality, on time, and within budget.
Requirements:
Chartered Structural Engineer with extensive experience in building structures.
Proven track record of leading commercial and residential projects.
Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Robot, Revit, Tekla, or similar).
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to make strategic decisions and contribute to the growth of the practice.
