This role is ideal for a senior-level mechanical engineer with experience leading consulting engineering teams and managing complex institutional projects. Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and operational oversight for the Salt Lake City office
Manage and grow client relationships across institutional and commercial sectors
Support business development efforts, proposal preparation, and pursuit strategies
Lead multidisciplinary project teams through design and construction phases
Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and quality delivery
Coordinate directly with clients, stakeholders, and end users
Mentor engineering staff and support office growth initiatives
Participate in strategic planning and regional expansion efforts
Prepare and review engineering designs, specifications, calculations, and construction documentation
Support project execution using Revit and/or CAD platforms as required
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
Proven experience within an MEP consulting engineering environment
Experience managing engineering teams or office operations
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated client management and business development capability
Knowledge of applicable building codes, standards, and regulations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Collaborative mindset with a passion for growing teams and business operations
Professional Engineer (PE) license or active progress toward licensure
Experience with Revit and BIM-based project delivery
Background delivering healthcare, laboratory, government, or higher education projects
Competitive salary range: $150,000 – $220,000 depending on experience and leadership background
